About Us

Ahh.. my monkey's.  I am a single mom to these two wonderful pre-teen kids.  They are so brilliant, loving, caring, and a joy to be around (no I'm not biased at all!)

My daughter is such a sweet, beautiful girl.  She is so understanding (most of the time) of all the time her brother may sometimes take from me.  She may fight like cat's and dogs with him but only SHE is allowed to do that.  Artistic, creative, smart, she makes me excited to see what a wonderful woman she is going to grow into someday.  Sure she get's sad that her brother takes up a lot of time and that she doesnt have a dad around in her life on a daily (or even a semi-regular basis (but that's a story for another blog)).  But despite all that she still lights a room with her laugh and smile.

My son...oh my sweet boy.  He has been through a lot in his short little life.  He was born premature weighing 3lbs 14oz's and was a little over a foot and a half long.  He had a hard time remembering to breathe, maintaining his body temperature, you know all the typical preemie baby issues.  He graduated from the NICU on February 14, 2003.  The best Valentine's Day gift ever.  I mean seriously!  What can top bring your baby home from the hospital than that??  Since that time he has been diagnosed as having ADHD-combined type at 7yrs old, MOSA or Mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Night Terrors, Somnambulism or sleep walking, and just recently (as in this past month) as having PDD-NOS or Pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified.  Someday's we have major meltdowns over little things and then someday's we have none.  Disorganization is out stumbling block in school as well as our handwriting.  We are very much into science, Doctor Who, and dinosaurs.  I never thought I would know as much about them as I do!!

So this is us, lots of laughing, hugs, lots of dinosaurs, Doctor Who, pink, Nerf gun battles, and some crazy intersting nights when a certain little man doesnt sleep.  Somehow I manage it all with out loosing my mind too!

Thanks for joining us on our ride!
